We'll be welcoming drummers - old & young, beginners & experienced, from near & far - back to our next One Day Drum Shop event. This will be the 4th of these events that Dave's Drums has hosted this year, and it's going to be the biggest & best yet!!!
Just in time for Christmas (exactly a month before Christmas Eve, in fact), we'll be opening the doors of Grazeley Village Hall (RG7 1LD) once more for our shopping & social drum event.
So just what's on offer this time?
As always, your hosts, Dave's Drums will be providing a selection of new & second hand drum goodies to browse and buy - snare drums, Code drum heads, Vic Firth sticks and Gibraltar spares among other things, plus a refurbished drum kit or two...
Dave will be on hand to discuss drum refurbishment & repairs (you can bring your gear along for a quote and/or to drop off for collection later), plus free refrehsments (tea, coffee & biscuits).
At this event, we have the exciting addition of some mini workshops by Jason Smith, introducing and demonstrating the awesome Impression Cymbals range. You can join Jason at 12:30 or 14:30 for a tour through this awesome selection of Turkish hand hammered cymbals.
Also joining us will be Paul from RJR Custom Drums and Leanne from Black Shed Drums. Each will be showcasing their restoration and re-wrapping services and perhaps bringing some drums to tempt you with...
We'll be welcoming back the guys from The Cambridge Drum Company, who will be bringing a selection of snare drums plus perhaps a kit to showcase what Cambridge do. They'll be delighted to discuss your needs and perhaps build you the kit of your dreams!
As well as Jason's Impression Cymbals workshops, Paul (who is the distributor for Impression Cymbals in GB) will be bringing his selection of for you to try & buy. Both Paul & Jason will be happy to chat to you about the Impression range and how to achieve the sound of your dreams!!
If you have any damaged cymbals, you'll want to have a chat with the cymbal repair guru Mr Benjamin Camp of CymbalMagic. As well as standard repairs, Ben can turn cymbals into effects models and makes a cracking line of jewellery & other awesome bits!
And the teachers among you should stop by and have a chat with Dave Longman - author of the Skins Drum Performance Method book (soon to be books, we understand). Skins is a teaching book with backing tracks for pre-grade 1 up to grade 2 standard drummers, and offers an awesome alternative to traditional grade books. We have used it here at Dave's Drums and we think it's amazing!
There will be a couple of other independent reatilers and private sellers coming along with some pre-loved drum gear to sell, so be sure to check out their wares as well.
Above all, come along for a good old chin-wag about all things drumming (and anything else, of course!). Absolutely no obligation to buy anything, just head over & connect with other drummers...
