Just a very brief blog today!
Dave reminded me that I'd missed out an important part of what he does with his time, which is post and courier. Dave prides himself on his secure and well-wrapped parcels, which often get mentioned in our eBay feedback.
So...sorry, Dave - and here's a photo of the man himself with a pile of parcels leaving Dave's Drums towers...

It's hard for us to believe here at DD, but it has been a whole year since we started out, and our eBay store opened its virtual doors!
In our first year we have established ourselves as a retailer of expertly refurbished drum kits (customers are always delighted with the "nearly new" appearance of their purchased kits), as well as selling second hand cymbals, hardware and accessories at great prices. We are really proud to have achieved a 100% customer feedback rating on eBay. We also offer a no-quibble 14 day return policy.
But what we love most of all is having happy customers who want to buy from us again.
Dave is very busy teaching when he's not in the workshop. New pupils are always welcome whether for regular lessons or just a one off, so why not book in today? And remember that we also offer a repair and refurbishment service - smaller items can be posted to us for work to be done if you're not local.

Did you know that we have a mailing list at Dave's Drums?
We don't do spam - we honestly do hate it every bit as much as you do. We will send 1-2 emails per month. Our regular monthly email will contain an exclusive offer only for subscribers, and if we send another email it will only be because there's something we just can't wait to share with you!

Dave's band, DeLorean, had the pleasure of being asked to play at the wedding of a former band drummer and he's fiancee yesterday. It was a long day for Dave (and myself), but also an amazing one.
We arrived at the venue at 12.30 to load Dave's gear in and for him to set up before the ceremony at 1.30. The wedding was being held at this awesome country house...
We both got a great workout carrying Dave's drum and sound gear from the car to the room where the reception was going to be held. My fitbit even registered it as "active minutes"! Here's the almighty pile of rawk before it was unpacked...
We had a small window for Dave to set up before the ceremony, then went off in search of some food. We had been pointed in the direction of a small country pub a few minutes' drive away. When we arrived it was completely packed, forcing us to head for the slightly less exciting option of an express supermarket.
When we got back, the rest of the band had started to arrive so set up started in earnest. By 4pm, the catering staff needed to use the room to serve food from, so we headed to the (sadly closed) bar.
As with many wedding, things were running a little late, so the sound check planned for 6.15 was at 7.15 instead!
With the soundcheck done and dusted, the evening kicked off with the bride's family doing a medley of songs, which was lots of fun. Then DeLorean played, joined by the bride and groom for a couple of numbers.
At the end of the night, all that was left to do (!!) was to pack up - a mere 2 hours. We got home at 2.30am then Dave was up and ready to teach for 9.30. A busy but epic and worthwhile day for two amazing people, to whom we wish many years of married happiness.
We were shocked and saddened on Tuesday to receive an email from Chris Wright, Chairman of DrumWright, telling us that they have ceased trading.
DrumWright had been in business for almost 20 years.
Dave had been a part of the DrumWright team for almost 5 years from June 2010 - January 2015. He had been a customer (albeit from a distance for the most part) for far longer.
Dave was still involved at DrumWright - he was a frequent social visitor, a customer, he did repairs for the company, and just last November Dave worked for DrumWright on the Roland stand at the London Drum Show. He was always warmly welcomed in store, as was our entire family.
We both wish Chris, his wife Brooke, Ian, and the rest of the Wright family, as well as the DrumWright staff, all the very best for the future.
We will miss you.
Keep rocking guys!

We are very excited here at Dave's Drums to be working with Backline.uk.com, the online marketplace to buy and sell new and used instruments. We have our own online store within the site which we have been busy populating with many of our products.
Our aim is to have our entire CODE line on Backline within the next few weeks, removing CODE products from eBay altogether.
We are able to offer our lower prices to customers buying via our Backline store, due to lower overheads compared to eBay. You can buy a variety of our products from our Backline shop simply by adding them to your basket then checking out via PayPal (as you would do on eBay).
Please do head over and have a browse by following the link on the button at the top of this post. We will still be running our eBay store, but by and large the products offered on each site will be different to each other.
Don't forget to like our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter. We also have a YouTube Channel and a community on Google+ - follow the links for details.
